Hey fam -

I’m OOO this week.
​

I’ve traveled to ~8 countries this year. And while I've had a blast on each trip, each trip has been a work trip.
​

So this week, I decided to take some time off and reset a bit. I’ll still be doing some meetings and light work, but most of my time this week will be spent reflecting, relaxing, and having some good eats.

​

Why am I telling you this?

​

As a reminder that the greats take breaks.

​

A few weeks ago I got burnt out. Like really burnt out. Like, couldn't get out of bed burnt out. Like, voice gone burnt out. Like, slept for 24 straight hours burnt out.

​

Don’t make the same mistakes I made. Schedule time off and take it.
​

Rest is revolutionary.
​

Take it.
​

If you’re anything like me, I sometimes feel guilty taking breaks like this.

​

Something that helps me is to remind myself that the greats take breaks.

​

Beyonce has an off-season.

Lebron has an off-season.

Oprah has an off-season.

So on, and so on.

​

Why are off-seasons important? It's when the actual muscle is built.

​

This is why you’re not supposed to work out heavy 7 days a week. Rest days are when the muscle gets built.
​

I know all of us here are on a journey to be great - and on that journey, rest is necessary. Rest is where we become the strongest versions of ourselves.

​

So, rest.

​

As I'm writing this I'm currently in one of my favorite hotels in the US (guesses are welcome), and I am sending you rest vibes to end out this Sunday.
